Whistleblower Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
Purpose
Rise Above Recovery is committed to the highest standards of ethical and legal conduct. This policy encourages staff, volunteers, Board members, and residents to report suspected fraud, financial mismanagement, illegal activity, or serious violations of organizational policy without fear of retaliation.
Protection from retaliation
No one who reports a concern in good faith will be subject to retaliation, harassment, or adverse action as a result of making a report, even if the concern is later found to be unsubstantiated.
How to report a concern
Concerns may be reported to a supervisor, to the Executive Director, or directly to the Board Chair if the concern involves organizational leadership. Reports may be made verbally or in writing, and reporters may request confidentiality.
Reports can be directed to: george@waynesigns.com or (515) 817-7542.
Board oversight
The Board of Directors, or a designated committee, is responsible for investigating reported concerns and ensuring appropriate corrective action is taken.
